Production Team Biographies

Angie Anderson (co-stage manager) is the president of the Board of Directors for the Vienna Theatre Company and has predominantly worked with that group. She welcomes the opportunity to work for the first time with Elden Street and thanks Rich and Todd for the experience. Most recently, Angie directed Wait Until Dark for VTC. Other credits include producing To Kill A Mockingbird and co-producing Snoopy!!! with VTC, and producing Love Letters with TAP She has stage-managed VTC's South Pacific and Lend Me a Tenor and has directed Rumors, To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday and several one-acts for VTC.

Todd C. Huse (Director) is, since 1988, from Prairie Village, KS and has a BA in Theatre from Knox College. He has performed in twenty-two shows, directed seven shows, and worked backstage on most of those (plus five others) at ten Washington area community theaters. Among his credits he directed To Gillian on her 37th Birthday, Burke Centre Players, and The Who's Tommy and Hair (co-director) at ESP all were recognized for outstanding achievement by the Ruby Griffith awards. Last season, he directed ESP's production of The Lady's Not for Burning which garnered four nominations and one award from the WATCH program, including a nomination for "Outstanding Achievement in Direction of a Play" He has served on the boards of Port City Playhouse and Elden Street Players and currently serves as ESP's webmaster, NVTA representative and WATCH representative. By day, Todd is a TRW Systems Analyst working for the SEC on the modernization of the EDGAR online filing system.

Shiela Hyman (Make-up/Hair Design) is working with ESP for the first time coming all the way from St. Mary's County MD to do so! Her facial illusions have been seen in Sweeney Todd (RMT), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum Port Tobacco Players and Frankenstein Hard Bargain Players. She is extremely grateful for the assistance of her friend and colleague Sherry Santana. And would like to thank her husband, Brian, for his continuing support. She is looking forward to the arrival of their "bear cub."

Richard Kiare (Producer/Technical Director) has produced the last five big musical hits for Elden Street Players including Pippin, La Cage Aux Folles, Gypsy, The Who's Tommy, and Hair As comfortable on stage as well as backstage, he has appeared in over thirty plays and musicals at ESP and area theater companies over the past 12 years. In addition to producing plays he has also served as technical director and/or master carpenter for over eleven plays at ESP He has been on the board of directors at ESP since 1991. He is currently president of ESP and has served in that capacity for six of the past seven years.

Leslie DuGan Peterson (Stage Manager) has been working in theater since she first "caught the bug" in 1976 in Seoul, Korea. She has worked in a variety of technical capacities as well as appeared on stage from time to time. Recent efforts include co-stage manager for The Last Night of Ballyhoo (LTA) stage manager for Mass Appeal for (DS), co-stage manager for The Runner Stumbles for the (ESP) and stage manager for the award-winning Kiss of the Spider Woman - the musical for (TAP). As always, thanks and love to Alan and Caroline.

Lynda Tilton (Sound) is excited to be working with ESP for the first time. Usually working with RCP she is always in search of the next thrill so has constructed and painted sets, run crew run the light board, been a master electrician, stage-managed, designed lighting and now sound. Enjoy!

Judy Whelihan (Costume Design) is making her debut with ESP In the past she has worked with the Reston Community Players designing Twelve Angry Men, Communicating Doors, and Extremities. She has worked on many other RCP shows. In her other life, she is the office manager for an orthopedic surgeon in Vienna and lives with 2 spoiled cats in Great Falls.

Samantha Whitesides (Musical Director) is making her debut in musical theater with The Rocky Horror Show and is pleased to have the opportunity to direct here at Industrial Strength Theatre. As a member of the five-piece variety band, Conspiracy Theory, she adds vocal talent and plays keyboard. In 1999 she filled various singing and dancing roles in a Fairfax musical benefit for AIDS victims. Her other musical experiences include founding and directing her church's first handbell choir, playing in the demanding Trinity Episcopal Church handbell choir and singing in a local choral production of John Rutter's 'Requiem'. Interests include animal welfare, education and rescue, viticulture, gardening, cooking and entertaining. A long-time lover of music, she hopes to someday write her own musical production...

Les Zidel (Light Design) is in his 14th year at ESP and is currently ESP's technical director. In 1987 he designed the IST as one of the few municipal "black box" theaters in the nation. Recently he has designed lighting for Veronica's Room (ESP), Twilight of the Golds (PCP), and To Kill A Mockingbird (VTC). He is currently serving on the citizen's committee for the Hem don Cultural Arts Center and is writing a documentary about the W & OD Trail to be produced by HCTV.  He wants to thank and recognize the lighting team, especially Cap Peckinpaugh and the multi-talented Chris Smith for their ideas, hard work and collaboration on the lighting of Rocky.
