Links to Other Related Web SitesIn the process of researching this production I not only had to struggle through four different translations to English (I am sure there are more) but the varied information on Brecht, Weill and others such as Lotte Lenya. As I continue to develop my approach to this production I will share these sites with you. Thanks to Ellen Young for loaning me her book, Lenya a Life, Tel Monks for loaning me his German album of a 1958 recording, and everyone who continues to share with me their "take" on this production. I have chosen the Jeremy Sams lyrics translation because it has been somewhat updated and I liked them. However, the final production may be quite interesting as I decide about whether to use English accents, whether to update the piece with more topic or geographically relevant locations.....all still to be determined.
